Having Ciocalata and Cappucino at a coffee bar on our last day in Venice. The hot chocolate drinks here must be more than half chocolate. If you let it get cold you have some trouble pouring it.

Leaving Venice.

The train trip along the Cote d'Azur was very picturesque, a fantastic day. Snow through the mountains from Turin through northern Italy into France but very warm by the time we arrived in Nice. Had lunch at a cafe in Ventimiglia by the sea, and the last Cappucino in Italia.
Nice, France
Changed trains at Nice and another short TGV train trip to Avignon where we picked up a car and attempting to drive a manual car on the right which I have not done for some time. Avignon countryside is very quiet and temperatures up to 20 degrees. The villa is great, took Anna's expertise to get us all connected to the wifi, even Dad couldn't get the password to work.

Some of the through ways are seriously scary. This was a signposted lane through to St Marco square that was narrow at the base, bowed inwards at the middle. I walk smartly through.
