Good to hear from you yesterday and it has been interesting reading your web site to find out what you have been up to, it didnt surprise me your journal was a good entertaining read! Cate you cant have thought travelling with Andy would be uneventful!? :-)
Im just preparing myself mentally for the ordeal of watching England play in a world cup knock out game! I think Sven has gone mad but then was he ever sane? Looks like were set to play yet another formation 4-1-4-1 (interesting!) Almost enough about the football other than to say Bobby Pires who? And how good does Rosicky look, what a couple of world cup goals! First impressions 7million well spent I think.
Hope you're both ok and enjoying your time away, make sure you both take care! I will keep an eye on you web page and look forward to your next journal installements.
Happy Days!

Helen & George
Hey guys,
Really glad to hear that you're both well! George and I have just arrived back to San Fran from our Canyons of the West Tour...had an amazing time!
The group we were with were wicked - we've made some fab friends. The canyons in USA were breathtaking. We were hardcore and hiked all of the challenging trails so very proud of ourselves...our biggest achievement had to be walking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back up to the top in 24hours....we'd planned to camp over night after the hike down and return the next day, however, heard that the weather was gonna be ridiculously hot on our ascent so decided it would be a great idea to have a 3hour nap then start hiking at 10pm throughout the night!! The ranger suggested it stating that visibility would be fine with the help from a full moon and torches...but no no, this ranger got it wrong...visability was bad so we ended up circling the campsite 3 times in pitch black before exiting the place! The walk was the hardest thing I'd ever done (thousand times harder than great north run)- we were exhausted and the walk/climb up the canyon in the dark was long. Finally got to base at 4.30 am and crashed out. On our way up due to poor visability, we nearly bumped into a mountain sheep with the biggest horns ive ever seen...next day ranger told us that we were lucky he didnt charge at us as we screamed when we saw him!!!
Lots more adventures were had...swam (were dragged) down colarado river, jeep rides across monument valley, getting lost in desert, route 66 stop-off, dancing with hippys, mud baths...fell over in front of group and landed on my butt in pile of poo and lots more...cant wait to catch up properly.
Now we're in San Fran we're off doing touristy things for next 6days...Golden Gate Bridge, Alkatraz etc.
Hope you're having an amazing time and speak soon.
Love ya H and G xx

Hello again. I knew that you would be having withdrawal symtoms from your hairdryer. All is well - no gossip to report - haven't time. Gillian (from newsagents) had a heart attack today! Just think, that could have been dad if he had stayed behind that counter growling at paperboys and customers for much longer. Going to Sean's wedding on Friday and Chris Hammill's on Saturday - dad is playing at a festival so conveniently can't go! I hope the rain eases off for you soon as it looks like a beautiful weekend that you have planned. Love to you both and take very good care. Love Mam & dad. xxxxxxx
Tricia

Maria & Martin
Hi Kate and Andy, I hope the luggage arrives soon. I can't image what you're going through without your hairdryer. So pleased to hear that you had arrived safely and Michael was looking after you. Let us know as many details as possible about the island, people, hospital, leisure activities - not that you will have much time for any leisure!!! Love you loads.
Mam and Dad.
