In retrospect, the Black Sea really wasn't so black at all. Of course we went across a major part of it at night. Maybe it didn't look black because I couldn't see the blackness at night. Unless, unless it only looked like it was nighttime because the Black Sea absorbed all the light. Nah, that's silly. That couldn't be it. It couldn't, right?
Hm.
Hot and sunny yesterday. Went to Topkapi Palace early, then hit Aga Sofia in the afternoon. The Gs are silent in Turkish. So it's pronounced Aya Sofia. Walked around a little, bought a woven cap and took a nap. Then walked the Galata Bridge and took the tram in Tunel to the top of the hill and walked along the promenade there. Wow, what a lot of people!
This morning, breakfast on the rooftop terrace, enclosed. It was thundering with the sun out for awhile but now it's started to rain, darnit. Acoording to the weather I've been following since the start of this trip, today and tomorrow will probably be my last days of rain, even in Ireland.
Today I get a haircut, pick up the laundry, and see the Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque and the Cistern.

Don Fantastic. I hear the Blue Mosque is amazing. Lots of photos please.
Patty Cohen Jealous - love the Grand Bazaar! The Cistern is really cool too.
Jennifer siu More fun times, andy. Travel safe. Had a great little memorial day paddle tennis gathering - lee, eddie, michael, howie, paul bailey, and myself. Paul's girlfriend, Michelle came by as did Nesha. All that was missing was you.
howie Yeah, and you missed the hot babes in bikinis with orange wigs.
