Hello everyone!
Well we arrived in Lodon yesterday at about five in the morning. Heathrow really isnt that big, nothing compared to Changi airport in Singapore. But I got to fly on my first 747... they really are massive. Had no leg room at all and the food was pretty gross but we got here. Tom didn't sleep at all so he is still in bed as we speak. Spent yesterday walking around the parklands in Rotherhithe wich is actually a suburb along the famous Thames river that runs through London. At the end of the day we stumbled across a party in a park for the Tour de France. They really get into it here, there were little stands saying 'Pimp my bike' and the like.
The Hostel we are staying at is more like a hotel... it's huge. Kind of lacks the atmosphere compared to the last one in Singapore but the people are fairly nice and helpful... especially the cook. He is a crazy guy who just jumps around yelling 'not more australians!' Apparently we are loved. Tom and I are going to spend the day fidning the next hostel on the underground tubes and then seeing all the sights we can in a week. It's actually really warm and nice here once morning passes, I expected London to be cold and dreary but it's nice.
The city is massive. We found a sort of look out in the parks while we were walking and there are three CBD's scattered around the place with a whole heep of buildings that just go on forever. There is no room for anything. I've taken loads of photos. I will try to upload mine and Toms soon so you can all see them. See you.
ps if you zoom in on the world map ive marked exactly were we are :)
