Wednesday 8th April We have to leave by 8 to catch our lake tour. We leave our bags on our rooms as we will be returning to them and only take what we need for 1 night. Tuesday 7th April I awake early with stomach cramps and diarrhoea. When it's time to get up and pack my bags, skip breakfast. It is a long bus ride today to Puno and lake Titicaca; 7.5 hours and I feel absolutely awful. I don't want to take anything. Even rehydration drink I brought at bus station. Monday 6th April We awake and ready ourselves for leaving for horse riding at 8:50am. We have to walk a ways and wait to be collected by the van. Eventually the van arrives and they have picked up the English couple from the hike. Thursday 2nd till Sunday 5th Inca Trail We have to get up early eat breakfast and be ready to leave by 8am. We can only take about 2-2.5kg. I think we are both over a little as bag weighs 0.5kg. Wednesday 1st April We have to check out by 9:30 so we get up and sort and pack our stuff for the inca trail. We are only allowed 2.5kg as we are hiring sleeping bags and mattresses. Also to go in the bag equalling 6kg. After breakfast we go for a walk to buy ponchos. We see lots of small backpacks also. We buy ponchos and sun hats and wander around the shops. I don't know how the shops survive with everyone selling the same stuff right next door to each other....
