This is i Tongariro national park. We stayed at the village of Whakapapa, as a point of interest "Wh" is pronounced "F". Fantastic scenery unfortunately the weather was very unkind, we felt quite at home on a walk to Tama lakes. They are flooded volcano craters. This peak featured as mount doom in the film lord of the rings.
