Preparations for the Mali trip are underway. Tickets are finally booked although it was quite costly.

I was also able to book the train tickets from Heathrow to Hull to visit Mamay Aunty, which will be nice. I have fond memories of Hull, especially during the Christmas season.

I have also sent my application for the Mali visa - hoping I will get the visa by next week sometimes. Hopefully my passport is returned safe and sound.

Training is also underway but it seems as if I may be out of shape the more I work out. Having joined the spinning classes twice a week is very helpful. The weather has turned colder so there is not much hope in training outdoors. I will try and get as much indoor gym time as much as possible to build stamina and muscle.

That's it for now - eagerly waiting for this trip. Mali will be fabulous with it's rich culture, heritage and history.
