Hey Ali - your website & pics are fantastic - what a great way to stay in touch. Hope you're still feeling better and the burn's healing up fast - you certainly look great in the photos & very brown. My tan from Sri Lanka is fading fast and there's still not much sign of it warming up here unfortunately - it was quite a shock to the system coming back to the UK with a 35 degree C temp difference! Had a lovely time there though - its a beautfiul island with lots of interesting places to see but also wonderful deserted beaches for doing absolutely nothing. I'm sure you'll have a great time in NZ - your plans sound very exciting - look forward to seeing the updates. Take care out there my sweet. Lol Auntie Jane x

Hey dude, dont worry about replying, will try not to send u too many message's, but missing u lots. last nite was good fun, did the usual rsvp then chammers (as ur bro calls it) was just me steve and the jackster but we had a laugh just the three of us. we all said it wasnt the same without u even before we left the house. it was good fun tho, think Jack must be feeling worse than me today, left him under a sleeping bag with the kittens this morning! as usual rsvp was full of complete wierdo's so spent the first half hour in hysterics laughing at a strange array of people, honestly they were all out last nite. hope u are feeling better, take care, love Sarah x

hiys mum, yeah I'm feeling a bit better. Took myself down to the doctors to have my burn looked at and the woman said it had got quite infected-I thought the pink was healing skin but apparently not so I'm on penicillin now which cost me a fortune but probably explains why I wasnt feeling great.
And suprise suprise yes the world is populated with half men hence why they are in some photos! sorry!
Got messages from sarah and jack on my phone but trying not to use it too much so sorry I didnt reply. love you all xxx
Mum
Hi darling
Glad you have arrived in NZ OK and that the weather's still good. Getting very spring like here, still a bit cold but very sunny and your tree is in full bloom outside your window. Hope you are feeling better, please get in touch if you aren't. Jack has gone out tonight with Sarah (etc) so no doubt will update you on what everyone here is doing tomorrow. In the meantime keep safe. Love you lots. Mum. PS the photos look great (rather a lot of men in them though!)

Oh yeah dad I forgot to mention, I'm really set on the idea of a sky dive, I think its something I have to do coz I doubt I will ever get the opportunity again. Also, when we were at the Museum this morning there was a war exhibition and all the names of those who died are on the walls, there was 2 waltons, one A.J Walton, just wondered if they could be relations?

hello everyone,
Been so busy I havnt had much of a chance to get to a computer but its only a pound an hour here in Aukland so I've got no excuse really. Hope you're all following my posts, I updated my photos today so you can catch up on what I've seen for the last 3 weeks. Glad you liked your pressie jacko thats awesome. Auckland is fantastic, I've only been here a day but I could definately see myself moving out here. Everyone warned me to buy jackets and jumpers but as you said mum its about 24 degrees and such good weather-obviously nothing like Fiji though but I'm not envious of Jenny right now who's still sweating over there for another 10 days! Felt a bit weird since I've been here, had terrible stomach aches and felt sick constantly-bit worried I'm gonna get sick like Miranda but at least they've got proper hospitals over here. Keep me up to date with uni goings on etc. Love to you all xxx (p.s where's lucy?? give me a mail soon)

Hey Al,
Glad to hear your getting a bit of a tan, always a bonus! im still working hard at lastminute until i go back to uni. think Jack may be coming on thurs which is cool, altho may have to have a fairly reserved one again as this job is making me really tired (not used to the early morns!!). anyway, just thought id say hi before i start stuffing my envelopes!! hope u have a safe flight, look fwd to hearing what u get up to, missing our chats lots dude x x x
Dad
Hi Al
Hope the flight to Auckland was OK.
I'm off to Moscow today so I thought I would drop you a line from the BA lounge.
I'm staying at the National hotel that Lenin used as his headquarters after the revolution.
I don't think I'm in his room though.....too spooky.
What are your plans in NZ. Are you really going to jump out of a plane?
Hope the weather is nice and you hook up with some nice people.
Got to dash to get the plane.
All my love darling
Dadxxxxxxx
Mum
Hi Darling
So nice to hear from you again. Your flowers are still fab. I have now moved offices to Woking, bet that seems a long way away now, and am pretty exhausted, but it's all quite plush and a big improvement on Runnymede Centre. Not much else happening here. Jack is now home, and cooked me dinner last night, which was extremely yummy. Dad is just returning from Paris, he got very held up because the French are all on strike today. He is off to Moscow tomorrow morning early, so you might be in the air at the same time! I have been speaking to a guy at work who is from Aukland and just come back from a visit to his family out there. He said the weather is quite good, about 24 degrees and thinks you will have a fantastic time. He knew about the Kiwi experience that you are going on, apparently it's a load of backpackers having a great time!! Keep us up to date and hope your flight is/was OK to Aukland. Love you loads. Mum
Alice (But A Bit More Tanned)
hey everyone,
Thank you so much for all your messages, keep them coming its so nice to have something to read. Just arrived back after 9 days on the islands. Had an awesome time but the heat is so severe here and we felt a bit too cut off. Can't describe how nice it is to be in an air conditioned room, although I have a flight to catch at 4 in the morning to new Zealand and there my journey begins alone.... really excited but will be so sad to leave Jenny, we've had a great laugh together and obviously really sad that Miranda couln't do the rest of the trip but I've spoken to her yesterday and she's on the mend but still very weak after her water poisoning. Jacko, sorry I missed your bday, hope you had a great time.
Dad-I've looked into changing the map on here but its only a very basic tool so unfortunately you'll just have to go on the place names I give you. Will update the site properly when I get to Aukland. Missing you all, wish you were here xxxx
