It's great to be back on the road again after meeting our friends, Royce & Sheryl in Katherine and then heading west on the Victoria Highway towards WA! Well, our time in Darwin is finally coming to an end after almost 6 weeks! We've had such a great time experiencing the atomosphere of the territory again both as a tourist and 'sort of' resident. Staying at the Cook's house has been such a blessing for us to re-organize our setup, clean, explore, dine out and earn a bit of extra cash for the next chapter. We have both enjoyed the casual work during this time and who knows, maybe we might even come back again?? D...

We're entering our fourth week in Darwin now and starting to feel like we're residents! The Cook family have gone to Brisbane for the holidays and we are able to stay at their house until we leave for the next chapter of our adventure - the Kimberley's, which should be around the 11th July. We've been in Darwin for almost 2 weeks now - the time is flying by! Our friends, Garry & Helen Cook and their 4 children have generously welcomed us into their home while we are here and have given us a lovely room to stay in while we cleaned up the car and caravan. Finally back on the 'black-top' and heading north to the Top End! Our first stop to reminisce was Mataranka Homestead Hot Springs. Last time we were here in 1998 it was over-run with flying foxes which had destroyed the natural vegetation and contaminated the thermal springs.
