10/02/2010On the way to Wanaka we stopped off at Lake Matheson, also known as Mirror lake. It usually has amazing mirror vies of Mount cook and Mount Tasman, but it was pouring with rain when we arrived, so had to settle with a postcard. 08/02/2010Arriving in Franz Josef the first thing we did was have a briefing on the glacier walk we were going to do tomorrow, telling us what to wear and to bring a packed lunch. Once that was over our bus driver took us to our hostel - Rainforest Retreat. 06/02/2010Having heard about the infamous Poo Pub from a few of Darren's friends who had been on the Kiwi Experience and from our driver we stopped at Greymouth to pick up a some bits for our fancy dress, our theme being anything beginning with 'P'. 03/02/2010We arrived in Nelson having only just warmed up after our dolphin swim that morning and pulled up outside a posh hotel called Prince Albert, which turned out to be our accommodation - sweet. It was infact an annex off the side of the hotel that had been turned into a backpackers hostel called Fern Lodge and it was really nice.
