Today we are in our last city in Germany before we leave for Prague in the morning. We got off the train in Berlin with our backpacks and just sat down now for the first time all day.
Berlin has been so great, as we have done and plan on doing during this trip we walked everywhere so we can see the most of the cities we visit in the short time.
Berlin has so much history and has been really interesting to see what we talk about in our history classes. Our first stop was to the Berlin Wall Memorial, it was so moving. Our second stop was a forty minute walk to Friedrichshain Park in the middle of the city, where we did sit for a few minutes with a coffee taking it all in. The Berlin Cathedral and the Memorial for Murdered Jews were next on the schedule, both where so beautiful and very unique to Germany. The Bradenburg Gate was also very impressive. Our last stop before arriving to our hostel was Check Point Charlie. Today we saw many important pieces of history and German culture.
We arrived to our hostel this evening after the directions took us around the world. Our hostel is SO NICE. It's definitely the best we've stayed in and the staff is so helpful. The crowd is really low key and have been awesome. We finally got Curry Wurst which is a traditional German sausage with curry at Curry 36. After being on our feet all day and barely time for a coffee it totally hit the spot!
It's bedtime for us now! We have a 6:45 train to Prague and have to be up and our by 6:20!
Goodbye Germany, I'm going to miss you!
