As we mentioned before, an historical tradition was to paint frescoes on houses. Sometimes it was to honor a name, or a profession. Or, in this case, a battle. In medieval times, the Austrians were fighting for dominance in Switzerland - the Swiss hid at a crevasse at the top of a mountain and when the Austrian soldiers tried to pass throughout the Swiss Army rained rocks and trees down. They won this battle - it is famous - and it's memorialized on this famouse building...
