Last few days in samui..
Chilled on the beach at ark bar on the big sun beds was enjoyable for the people selling clothes and bikinis to come up to you if you asked them to..shopping without even moving. Few dips in the sea we're needed as it was hot hot!!
Nice early nights an rest was needed.
Lastday we rented scooters and toured the whole island it was a lot of fun! Breeze too which was very much needed. Stopped off at the big Buddha and explored the temple for a while got lost a few times but a very good £3 spent I felt.
Food was strictly cheap street pad thai..spend little money on food and drink when it's just the 2 of us.
Ran some errands - went to boots of all places and purchased some malaria tablets after a few hours research. Then went to about 10 banks to buy $50 USD. Although cambodias currency is riel they mostly use $ and I know we pay for our visa in $ so thought we'd be prepared.
The evening we took the scooter to meet Leah and rich at their hotel.. Really really nice hotel! Had a few drinks and a long catch up which was lovely..looking forward to catching up with them agAin when we're home. Scooter home - amazed we remembered the way in the dark. Woke bright and early to start our extremely long journey.
1.5 hour boat to surrathani then a 9 hour bus to Bangkok. Back to the koh San road where it all started- then taxi to the airport few hours wait and a flight to siem reap!
Next chapter. Cambodia!
