Kava - root of a plant. It's best if it's in the ground for 7 years. The grind it upp, then strain it into water. I drank lots of it while in Fiji. It doesn't take very good, kinda like muddy water. It is considered a drug but a legal one. I only had the effects one night. Drank 12 bowls and I have never been more relaxed in my life. You seriously were thinking about nothing. Just complete relaxation. I totally understand why they drink it everyday!
