I am leaving in 8 1/2 weeks! So much to do before getting on that plane and heading for Africa! There are vaccinations to get caught up on, visas to obtain, shopping for the children - and I need a course on space-saving packing!!! During my stay in Uganda, there will be time off for a safari and a trek though the jungle to see the gorillas (site of the movie "Gorillas in the Mist"! How amazing is that?!

The countdown is on and because this is definitely the most amazing adventure I will ever live in my lifetime, I have decided to write a blog to share my experience and memories with family and friends. Hope you enjoy the read - stay tuned for more of Getting Ready for Africa!
