Adventure before dementia
We crossed over from Eastern Cape to Natal and there was quite a difference. From dry brown fields with millions of huts and animals there was green sugar plantations with far less huts (!) There was, however, field burning on the go and a lot of it.
AND the roads were better, and the backpacker didn't have ANY fencing only a gate without a lock. We were greeted by those little monkeys, but a very old Rhodesian Ridgeback kept them at bay. A not-as-nice-backpacker as Tube 'n Ax in Storms River Village but certainly a nice friendly receptionist and a good night-spot. Easy access to the beach. Pity about the cool wind, but great for the summer.
