Kuranda Railway up and Skyrail down again. We saw a genuine wild crocodile in the Barron River Weir from the Skyrail! Even though it was a long way below. Today was another great day, and largely for a totally unexpected reason. We made some new friends. On the train, we sat next to a family from Melbourne who had children about the same age and we all got on great so we had lunch with them (Shane, Sandy, Georgia and Ryan, I think). The village is very touristy but the walk through the rainforest well worth it and both the train and skyrail are excellent. Barron falls is very impressive with water tumbling over rocks way down to the bottom of a deep gorge. There's a hydroelectric scheme here. The train pulls up at a 'station' to let everyone of for a few minutes to admire the falls. Jasper was anxious to show us the candy store were you can see the candy being made (he came here with his school last year).
