The views from the beaches in Fiji and the cook Islands and the coastal roads in NZ were stunning, but this was breath taking.
We heard about the Blue Mountains from a guy in one of the dorms in Sydney, he insisted we go and loads of companies ran tours there so we figured it was worth a look. We got a train to the main town Katoomba and booked into my second favourite hostel to date, The Flying Fox. Just like someone's home, free choc biscuits, mulled wine in the evenings and log fire. We stayed in Terrance, brrr.
We walked to place called Echo Point. It was amazing. You are actually on top of the mountains looking over the whole valley. Breath taking, my favourite view so far, I think.
The walk we did, was down 1000 steps, along the valley floor through the bush for 2km and then up 1000 steps the otherside. I nearly died! I was so tired at the top. Worth it though, lots of fun. Blue Mountains are well worth the journey from the city, 2 hours or so on the train.
Off on Oz bus tomorrow, I AM NOW UP TO DATE YEAY!!!!! xxxxxxx
