Hey everyone, Arrived in Amsterdam yesterday morning, managed to find our hostel Durty Nellys, thankfully its not a brothel! First impressions - coffee houses as expected, red light district, although expected, slightly shocking! Boiling hot weather but its good not to be at work in this heat, and suprisingly the hostel has air conditioning! Went on a boat ride around the canals (James and Dad i listened to the tour guide and the history of Amsterdam, you know i've been wanting to improve my general knowledge!!) and then for a meal and a few drinks. Today we have HIRED BIKES (hard to believe we know, but check out the pic!) hahaha, had a good time although Amy nearly fell off turning around looking for me! and then i nearly fell off laughing!! Stopped off and had a picnic near to the flower market and alongside the canal. Tonight we're going out with a few girls from the hostel (one's from California, we're hoping for an invite!), then up early tomorrow for a 5 hour journey to Berlin with no ipods or books...
