Our breakfast was an omelet with hungarian sausage. We wanted to get out early to beat the traffic and the heat. Most of the early part was on the main road and traffic was light and picked up as the day moved on. We opted for the south side to see Visegrad, worth seeing. By Szentendre the traffic had picked up and we found the path we missed 5k back. Weekend traffic was getting heavy so it was nice to get off the highway.
A little outside Szentendre we happened on a medieval market and Gretch bought two metal flowers from a blacksmith. Weekend traffic and booths were full on the river and it was slow going in places.
Coming into Budapest was on a bike path and ways. The marking was sketchy so we got lost a couple of times but found the riding pretty easy up to crossing the chain bridge. After crossing we had to wind through a lot of pedestrian traffic and found Burger King for the internet. Using the information from the internet we started toward the campground. As we pushed off a lady offered us a room near old town (800m) for 30e a night with bath and kitchen we took it.....for three nights. Maybe more.
