Hey Daniiii, I just read all your journal entries. seems you're having fun in Klagenfurt...I don't know what to write... i'm tired... we had extra practices friday and today with the big band in Karlsruhe you went with me...sadly you won't be here when we have that concert in the city of Karlsruhe :-(
Have a great time! Lots of love :-)
Los Romberos
That driving hypnotic salsa groove just kept building verse after verse and, when called, another band member stepped downstage to throwdown. First the bass player, then the saxman, then the chick singer, and on it went, building with intensity and danceskill as each new player stepped forward. We were lined up, three or four deep, all the way across the front of the stage and everybody was digging it to extremes. A long time ago, I used to have occasional moments of lucidity and luckily for us all, I had one then. It became crystal clear what needed to be done. I moved forward and stepped up to the front of the stage and motioned for the main cat to bend down and talk to me. Once I finally got his attention, he got down close to my face for a moment and I motioned back toward her and yelled at him through cupped hands, "ella quiere bailar con usted". He took a quick glance back at the Trix, who was spacejazzed on fruitjuice and pure fun, and, with an understanding look man-to-man, he gave me the nod. I grabbed her by the elbow and led her up to the stairs, stage left, where she pranced up, front-and-center, while the Romberos came back around to the bridge.
Smiling Ghosts At Night
Reach out your hand if your cup be empty,
If your cup is full may it be again,
Let it be known there is a fountain,
That was not made by the hands of men.
There is a road, no simple highway,
Between the dawn and the dark of night,
And if you go no one may follow,
That path is for your steps alone.
Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.
But if you fall you fall alone,
If you should stand then whos to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home.
;-)

Hi Danielle,
Hope you are doing well and enjoying your time there. I am sure it is hard with no one speaking English but I know you will do well. This is a wonderful opportunity for you. I missed you being here when we visited your Mom. We went to see your apartment. It is very nice. A little noisy right now with all the construction going on. Be glad you are not here for that. You can e-mail me anytime you want. Be careful and don't get discouraged.
Love,
Michelle
