Got a bus from David to the Costa Rican border. Were happily, walking along when a friendly, local drunk informed us that we had entered Costa Rica a while ago! Illegal immigrants, us! You don´t even notice the border - just see a different car registration!
Got a bus to Golfito and had the craic with all the locals on the bus - so friendly! Standing on Golfito pier, looking out at the beautiful water and lush peninsula beyond it, was a lovely moment - calm, serene... we expected paradise when we crossed! Had a fun speed boat ride over and landed on Puerto Jimenez - paradise it was not! It does, though, have a rough, rustic charm with its gravelly, pot-holed roads but it´s not a place to spend a lot of time! And we discovered Coast Rica is a lot more expensive than Panama!
Decided we needed to search for a secluded beach and see some wildlife!!!
