This is so frantic! I'm still packing and we are leaving in two hours. Luckily I had everything prepared beforehand so all I have to do is stuff everything into my bag. I think I packed pretty well. All my stuff fits into my bag and I still have room for the things I buy at Sri Lanka. We just have enough time to have lunch. Mum and Dad are trying not to stress and I think they're doing a pretty good job. The taxi arrives and I try to think as hard as I can of anything I have forgotten. I get into the car, still slightly worried that I've forgotten something. I try to get mum more relaxed and calm and I think it worked. We arrive at the airport and from there it all seems to go super quick until we get on the plane. Everything seems more real now that we are on the plane. All the flight attendants look really nice. Because we are flying with Thai, they are all in the traditional Thai dresses ( obviously just the girls ), they look stunning. My backpack weighs 5.3kg, mums weighs 5.8kg and dads weighs 8.5kg. I'm definitely getting the hang of backpacking now. All the flight attendants greet us with the traditional first class. Even though I'm flying economy, it feels like gold class. They serve us a really nice lunch. Mum and I had Thai green curry and dad had beef and mash potato. Both Meals were very nice. As we are sitting at the front of economy, we have heaps of leg room and the screen isn't in our face, it's just the right distance. They have all the movies you could ever wish for; mirror mirror, snow white and the huntsman, the lorax, the three stooges, the hunger games etc. After a while of watching movies and playing games, I start to feel quite tired. I try to get to sleep but it doesn't work. I come off the plane at Thailand feeling rather weak. We wondered around the airport (which was very beautiful) and come across some recliner chairs for anyone to use. We have a lie down on the chairs. All around the chairs were beautiful, colorful flowers. It was amazing. I try to get some sleep on the chairs but that doesn't work either. When it's time to go to the next plane, I feel as weak as anything. We fly on the second plane for about 3hrs and all I try to do is sleep. I lay down across three seats and eventually get a little bit of sleep. I wake up and still feel weak and now I also feel sick. I get off the plane, finding it hard to walk. We wait for Rama (Mums work friends best friend) to pick us up from the airport. When he takes us to his car, it is very late, dark, dusty and crowded. As soon as I get into their lovely car, I feel safe because I'm away from the crowds. Rama shows us where he works and lives and the takes us straight to our hotel. We arrive at our hotel and I'm very impressed. Unfortunately, I am feeling extremely sick and weak so I can't really appreciate how nice the hotel is. As soon as I get into the hotel room I slump straight into my bed and fall asleep in seconds.
