Yesterday we finally met Ayisha; our foster child.
it was an incredible experience. We walked up the mountain to get to her village in kersa and Ayisha and her whole family came and met us halfways. She was shy at first, but after a few minutes she dared to sit next to us. Everyone was so excited and I can recall how we all smiled the whole day. She lived in a hud with her dad and 2 siblings. They had all kinds of fruit in the garden that they were happy to show us. She liked our gifts and we played with the balloons. The whole village were all very excited about our visit and stood around us looking at us curiously. This meeting was worth the whole trip and the feeling one have afterwards is just amazing. Now I know that what we do is for a good cause. PLAn had organized the visit very well and it was nice to see how their and other organizations' work has really made a difference in just 4 years here in Jimma.
