An early start for some, with a short drive from Derwent Bridge to Lake St Clair. It is the end point for the Overland Trek. It is only March and it was only 6 degrees this morning while we were contemplating the 7 day walk from Cradle Mountain... I don't think so.
Then we headed off on our long drive to Hobart. Different people stopped at different spots along the way. Tarraleagh, Ouse, Hamilton and we all met up at Russell Falls about lunch time. Then a pretty drive along the Derwent River, via Plenty and the Salmon Ponds and on to New Norfolk.
After a stop and walk around the town we headed off for the final leg to our accommodation at Wrest Point.
Everyone has made it safely and we are settled in for 4 nights and some touring over the next few days.
