Day 4!
So.... Guess what? Sunny day ALL day today. freakin finally! I had the most amazing ride through the middle of nowhere Canada today. I was the only one on this back country road which winded though this incredible forest unlike any forest I've seen in PA. I took pictures and videos and will upload them here. (btw if you click on the map on my site here, you can click on blog, photos, or videos to see whats been uploaded) anywayz, When I got out of this awesome area I drove into Parry sound Ontario..home of the famous Bobby Orr (according to a huge billboard anyway) and then wound up at Grundy Lake to FINALLY camp out. I saved SO much money today which makes me feel great since I am already WAY over budget.
Btw, there are TONS of seagulls in Ontario. Just throwing that out there :)
The campground at Grundy lake was really nice. I set up camp, and immediately made friends with the family camped right across from me. The dad was bummed he didnt have HIS bike, and his wife laughed and said I cant park my bike here or she'll never hear the end of it from her husband why he couldnt bring HIS bike. They also had 2 kids, a boy and girl. So, camp was set up. I scouted around for sticks and logs to burn for a fire later, and for the first time on this trip, actually got to sit, relax and read a book.
Dave (the Dad of the family) invited me over for dinner, and for the remainder of the night I hung out with him and his family around the campfire. They were great, and told me a lot about canada I never knew. well... I already didnt know much about Canada, so I guess that was'nt hard. But, they were super nice. fed me. and had great conversation all night. great family.
Oh, and that night.. WOW the stars. I even saw the Milky way. I tried taking pictures, but they just wouldnt come out.
So today was a great day. I only rode 203 miles, but they were all good ones.
total miles = 990
