As we pulled out of Robe and drove to the highway, we passed the entry to Long Beach where just the day before we had our first off road experience. All 3 of us were keen (Larry included) to go back and 4WD on the beach, but we soon realised we had Judy in tow who would significantly weigh us down... no offence Judy!
So off we went back down the highway, passing our first 'Big Thing' - Larry the Lobster in Kingston SE before stopping at one of our favourite little villages- Hahndorf. (A German Village just on the outskirts of Adelaide)
As we made our long steep journey into Adelaide, we made a slight detour to fix Larry's airbag suspension, which ended up taking longer than expected thanks to the 'Adelaide Peak Hour Traffic.' As we left Adelaide, Tara couldn't help but mention her beloved Pandas at the Zoo which were only kilometres away. She was devastated not to see the Pandas, but her mind quickly changed to the thought of standing out the front of Drovers Run (McLeods Daughters....she is obsessed!) After a quick photoshoot at the Drovers gate, we were back on the highway for our last leg to Clare.
Once arriving in Clare we were exhausted from a long day of travel so we swiftly set up, poured a drink and called it a night.
Next Stop: Flinders Ranges.
