Today we travelled approx one hour from Nairobi to a centre run by the Anglican Church and the Rotary Club. It started about 13 years ago and has a primary and secondary school, a residence, a health centre and the church. It has approx 230 students, all of are orphans. It was a wonder to behold as we travelled for about 1/2 hour along narrow, bumpy and winding roads only to open on this oasis! of well built structures and manicured lawns. We toured their site Then set up for the 500 pics to be taken, and kits given out!!! Needless to say the smiles and excitement was contagious!! Parent interviews were done today and all were impressed with the quality of the items.
We then enjoyed a cup of tea with the volunteers and were introduced to the Kenyan form of donuts- no hole- but tasty just the same.
Tomorrow is a travel day and we will be away from Nairobi for 4 days.
