Took the Tube to Westminster Abbey and took the tour. Awesome! Saw so much history in one place. Graves of all the kings and queens for the last 1000 years plus Chaucer, Darwin, Sir Isaac Newton, Lawrence Olivier, Frederik Handel, etc. Then we Tubed it to eat at Ed's Easy Diner where we talked to the owner who talked about buying real estate in Europe. Then we took the Original Bus Tour all over the city for two hours. Then we walked in a daze trying to fight the crowds until we finally decided to go to The National Gallery for about 15 minutes (mainly just to visit the WC). We then Tubed to The Tate Modern Art Gallery. Pretty interesting if you like paint thrown on a canvas or a urinal attached to a board as art. We then took an interesting walk past the replica Globe Theatre and through unique streets to a small restaurant called Mickeys for fish and chips. We then walked another two blocks to our apartment and little grocery store for more milk and bottled water. We're all pooped. Lots of walking! By the way, I wore a sweater and rain jacket today and was still chilly! Sorry you guys are roasting at home!
