So let's get straight to the point ... Where still in WA! :) ... The map has a mind of it's own, and announced to everyone where in India but it's definitely telling porkies! Where still at Waroora at least till Sunday but we might stay an extra day or two if the wind stays away :)
When we got here, Dan went and said hi to one of the old ladies fishing on the beach, see what she was catching and get the layout of the land! When he was finishing up the chat, he said he might go take a quick dip and she said 'oh I wouldn't do that! The waters murky and there's sharks that swim up and down but if you must, make sure you have someone watching from the beach'!!! So of course we didn't swim, figured we'd get to know the place first, before we became sharkbait!
The wind died down alot today, so we had a paddle and the water is amazing!!!!! So clear, you can see everything! Regardless of how clear it is I still managed to step on a starfish! He was only a metre into the water!!! I guess he's 'living on the edge'! Haha
Daniel caught his first fish of the trip, a 9kg snapper, which snapped off while lifting it up the rocks, (50lb line) only to land on a rock ledge just out of reach. (I wouldn't have believed it, if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes)! While Daniel was contemplating climbing down to get his prize, a black tip reef shark about 1.5m long came and beat him to it, so in front of us we watched as the shark gobbled up the fish. That was it, we went straight to coral bay and bought a net with a long handle to get the next one, before the shark!! Dan said he was glad he had me as a witness.. To which I said "a witness to what? Oh you mean the blowie you caught!" I stopped teasing him pretty quickly after that, incase he fed me to the shark!
We came back to sit at the beach, after all the excitement, Dan and Xander were digging in the sand and found a feisty little crab! So Dan flicked it out of the hole to the seagulls, thinking for sure the seagulls will handle the situation! BUT it was ON! Everything went quiet, waves stopped crashing, generators stopped humming, people stopped talking... It was a real deal Mexican Standoff!!! It must have lasted a full 2 minutes between the crab and 3 seagulls! To which the birds decided to back down and the crab Holstered his nippers and scuttled off to the water!
Well about a million people just rocked up, getting ready for the weekend! So we'll meet lots of new people! And lots of kids for Panda to play with! And we'll be off, fishing tomorrow, to catch the snappers 'school' friends!

Mum Another great post. Catch the next one and have fish for tea yum.
Richo (Of the Brad Variety) So now you've both resorted to making up stories about catching fish, man, you did put some thought into that one though, I did like the shark bit too, a little bit over the top, but nonetheless. It seems that it would almost be easier if you just actually caught a fish! On a side note, your creative writing skills are developing nicely. Thanks for sending down some fine weather, we got 29 degrees happening in the big smoke today!
