Hi there to you both,
Wow - you look to be having a fascinating time and you both look so well. We are having our non-uniform day tomorrow to raise funds for your cause so we have all been thinking of you a lot this week. All well here - the weather is glorious today - autumnal sunshine - we have had lots of rain for the last 2 days -desperately needed for the garden but it has left the usual flooding around here - e.g under Benfleet station causing the usual trafffic chaos - I imagine that is something you do not miss!! My new reception class are delighful. I have Teresa (Thompson) with me again in Foundation - she is so lovely to work with.
David sends his best wishes - he's fine -still drumming - and the boys are ok - Andrew still working in Reading and plans to go travelling next year with a friend- both Stephen and Daniel still living at home - Stephen working for a company that erects staging etc at various venues and Daniel still teaching guitar- he is now thinking of uni to study music composition - better late than never! I believe Lynne is about to return from her holiday to Boston - a long-awaited for holliday - hope she has had a good time. Steve Kidd says hello too!! He asked how you are doing.
Hope this reads ok - have left my glasses in the classsroom - any way just wanted to say hello and to wish you both well. See you when you get home.
Best wishes Heather Manning

If you've already read this message ignore next few sentences...I was half way through a message this morning and clicked the wrong button - b**!!! computers! Firstly, a much belated Happy Birthday, Alison - sorry! They say memory is the first thing to go... I read your latest blog with more horror than fascination this time. Your boat journey makes my nine hours of sea sickness between Porstmouth and St. Malo seem like a walk in the park - glad you both survived to tell the tale! Life here is a little more pedestrian but I can recommend this part time lark...I feel 100% better after only a month. Suddenly, there's time to do all those things you always meant to do and the energy to do it and oh the relief of having no more managerial responsibilities!I haven't done much reading of your blog in the wee small hours either. John started doing one to one tuition at North Crescent and Rettendon this week and quite enjoyed the novelty, apart from getting back ache from sitting in primary sized chairs. Our only trauma is that Michael is trying to buy a flat (did we tell you?) and is living in our dining room...need we say more?! Hopefully, he'll be in/out before Christmas and we'll be able to reclaim the house! Much love to you both. Take care. x

Dear all
We had a disaster when the laptop gave up completely and couldn't do anything with it. Its probably riddled with viruses, since we are warned not to exchange flash drives as viruses are rife here and not much in the way of anti-virus software.
Anyway, we had to recover XP which meant all our programmes were lost, including microsoft outlook - in which I organised all my emails and contacts. So if you have my email, please send me one (you don't need to write anything unless you feel inclined) so that I can store your address on google mail.
May not update our blog until everything sorted.

Thanks to the Spicer family and the Hooper/Smith family for your messages. It was lovely to hear from some Winter Gardenarians and yes, I definitely remember you all! Can't believe Courtney is now in Year 6 - doesn't time fly. Well done Jazmyn with your grades - keep it up. Hope Amy is well too (year 8 now? Or am I behind the times?).Have any of you been watching the Land of the Lost Volcanoes programmes? Right up your street I would have thought Rick being natural history.
Anyway, keep following the blog and do please leave messages again sometime.

Wow! Another incredible experience! Live volcanoes eh! And you're both looking so fit and trim and well on it all.... Just had all remaining available Blanties for Sunday dindins, + Michael Buckler. Very nice, but somewhat pedestrian compared to your lives at the mo. Bella still alive, but not sure for how long. Loads of love, Jen and Dave. xx
