Bright sunshine this morning. We set off for a 17 mie drive to Donasta San Sebastien and easily find the camperstop, which is busy but there are a few places free.
The town is a ten minute walk away past the university, where we see a French motorhome and help him with directions to the aire.
The main shopping street is attractive; old iron balconies, modestly ornate stonework and simple Christmas decorations.
We make our way to the seafront. Perfect blue sea with small white waves washes into a golden sandy bay with a rock outcrop and a couple of small islands. A few are swimming, others walking or sitting on the sand. We meet N+G who have biked in, and take seats on the sun-drenched terrace of a tapas [or pintxos as it is known here] bar, Ezieza. We order a sample of everything; prawns, two sorts of vol au vents with shrimp and pilchard, chorizo rolls, potato fritters and salad.
Fully stuffed, we wander back out along the seafront before returning to the aire.
A British van arrives and we have a long chat with Robert and Jackie who are also motoring south.
Still stuffed from all our tapas we have a quiet evening with just the remaining Christmas nibbles for supper.
