Today we decided to conquer the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. Its family funday Sunday here which means we get a ticket for publiuc transprot (including bus, train & ferry) for $2.50 each!!! So cheap. So for $10 for the family we decided this was the best way to get around today.
We caught the bus just opposite the caravan park which took us to Manly Warfe. It was a beautiful day, the sun shining and not too windy. So busy at the warfe but easy to find way around, just follow the masses of people. So we then jumped on the ferry from Manly to Circular Quay. The ferry ride was good, no too choppy, however that was the view from inside. Went outside onto deck to take some pics and nearly got blown off!!! Could hardly shut the door behind me. Got a bit of spray from the ocean as well, so thought best to go back inside and save the Nikon from any damage. The ferry ride took about 20-30 mins and the girls were very excited.
When we got to Circular Quay we went for a walk to Sydney Opera House which took about 5 mins. Although not that long, Meg couldnt possibly find the strength to walk. Becoming a bit of a problem with her not wanting to walk, need to be a bit tough we think. Charlotte was never this bad. Anyway, the Opera House was spectacular. Was suprised to see that it is all different buildings, l thought it was all in one. Also that the glass windows are brown in color, thought were black or tinted grey. Marty loved the view and took heaps of photo's as most people can see on facebook. He is becoming quite the fb fan, checking in at every major tourist attraction (lol). Great for everyone to track us l reckon. Anyhow, getting back to blog. Had a picnic lunch on the steps of the Opera House then convinced Marty and the girls that we should head over to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Whilst walking around there was an Aboriginal group which was performing and the bloke was awesome on the didgeridoo. they signalled for Boo to come have a go at the percussion sticks, she loved it!!! Couldnt wipe the smile off her face. Will try and upload to video for everyone. Got to the train station and got directions from a lady (she was so nice) and proceeded with our train trip.
So caught a train to Sydney Harbour Bridge and thought, great its stopping at the end where we want to climb up the pylon. Wrong!!! Again, had to convince Marty and the girls that it was going to be worth the walk across to the other side of the bridge with the view we will see. So we headed off for a walk across the bridge which was amazing, good sight seeing. Got to the pylon and climbed the 200 stairs, Charlotte did fantastic and didnt winge at all!!! The view was spectacular and got some great pics. Then we walked through to The Rocks back to Circular Quay. The walk was great, although everyones legs were starting to have enough and getting tired. We then caught the ferry then bus and got back to caravan park in time for tea. Was a long day but totally awesome.
We are loving Sydney!!! The people are so nice, even people getting off the bus say thank-you to the bus drivers!!! Never seen this before, especially in Melbourne. The city is clean, it looks like it has always been freshly swept and cleaned. Havent run into many undesireable people. Am looking forward to tomorrows adventures, might take the girls to the Aquarium we think.

Dusk Ease up on Melbourne, and poor little Meg. She's only just 3, where's the stroller.
