We were still down about Emily so we postponed a trip to the Mayan Ruins. The day has been spent looking around pretty Copan.
The evening had mixed emotions. We decided to avoid the usual Via Via despite it possibly having the best inexpensive food after Vanuatu (eating there every day did not seem right).
Instead we gravitated to a very nice looking place called Twisted Tanya (if the owner was Tanya then it lived up to it's name). Somehow we went with the flow and ordered two courses rather than the usual one. The food was very nice, however it suddenly occured to me that both of us didn't check the price as we always do (there wasn't one on the menu board). The long and short of it was that the meal and drinks came to four times what we expected (about £15 each). This negated the lovely meal feeling and replaced it with feeling a bit ripped off.
Not a particularly good day.
