After many hours of travelling we finally arrived in Leiden. It was pretty cool as me and my family got to fly business class the whole way. The trip started off with a 2 hours and 45 minutes flight from Saskatoon to Toronto. Lucky that plane was late giving us less time in in Toronto which was nice seeing as the original layover was 5 hours. Because we had business class tickets my family and I got to spend our layover in the maple leaf lounge. It was this big area with chairs and sofas, free food and drinks and wifi that actually worked. I was very excited to see a couple of double decker KLM planes while we were there, they are so insanely huge! Even though everyone was boarded very efficiently onto our very large plane we were late leaving Toronto. I can't actually remember a time that I ever flew out of Toronto on time. The eight hours from Toronto to Amsterdam was more time then I ever want to spend on a plane even in business class. We had chairs that actually turned into lie flat beds and a 3 course meal was delivered swiftly once we reached cruising altitude. We finally arrived in Amsterdam, but don't be relieved that I am done this attempt to blog because it is not over. While I am here we are actually staying in a city called Leiden which is a 15 minute train ride from the airport in Amsterdam and then still a 10 minute walk from the train to were we are staying. I am writing this five hours after I got here on the account of me falling asleep pretty much immediately. Anyways that concludes my first blog of the trip.

Grandad Great first entry Marianne. We followed your flights on the Internet FlightAware live flight tracker. The transatlantic flight flew over Greenland and south of Iceland.
