Our final morning on the boat. We woke up and had our last breakfast together and enjoyed the views back to Airlie Beach. Once we arrived back we checked in to Base Hostel, and went for lunch. On the way back myself and Kirsty were in tears of laughter at Joe trying to jumo around the pavement to find shady spots so his feet didn't burn. He spotted a shoe shop across the road and had to run so fast across the road that we were just in fits of giggles. Whilst we were busy laughing at Joe, we noticed Briana and Laura, the canadian girls we met in Brisbane. We stopped to talk to them briefly and catch up with how they were. It still amazes me how much you can bump in to familiar faces in such a big country, when you are all on the move so much. It's really nice, and comforting. Me and Kirsty went down to the lagoon with Joe and Matt. I found a spot to lie down under a shady tree to relax and a guy called Patrick came and sat nearby, who it turned out had met Joe earlier on in his travels too. Kirsty, Joe and Matt ended up getting in to an arguement with someone in the water over a ball game getting too close to someone's daughter. Yael turned up not long after and we sat in the water and enjoyed the sun, before heading back to get ready to head out for dinner. We all met in the hostel bar for food and I played beer pong with Jess and a couple of random girls who turned out to be sore losers haha. Me, Jess, Joe, and a few others headed to a club nearby and had a few drinks. It was fun, but i was glad to get to bed and get my head down. There were a couple of newbies in the room when i got back, which is also something that you strangely just get used to when you're travelling and staying in hostels.
