What a great few weeks I've had!
I got given last weekend off as an extra weekend off so Laura came up to stay. She came really late on Friday so we didn't do anything but on Saturday I showed her around the farm then we went to got to Arapuni Swing Brigde but I put the wrong address in my phone! whoops it was ok though we ended up in Putaruru where we were going anyway. We stopped for lunch in a place called crazy cow cafe. I had a lovely fish burger and the chips were amazing they had a lemon pepper herb on them! I never normally taste herbs but this was really nice.
We then went to the Blue Springs. I have been wanting to go for ages but didn't realise it was so close to my house! There was a 3 hour walk you could do but we just did a little one and will do the 3 hour when Laura is back at the end of the month. We went to the swing bridge on the way home apparently its the highest in the southern hemisphere! I was a little scared at first but then i ran over it on the way back!
We got home and chilled for a bit then in the evening we went speed dating!!! ha ha Cam had told me about it and I thought why not give it a go! It was so much fun! We had 2 minutes with each guy and there were 27 dates!! You were all sat next to each other so it was really hard to hear sometimes as it was so loud. 2 minutes wasn't long enough really as it was hard to find out much about them. You had to tick yes or no on your paper if you liked them. I think I liked about 7 guys!! There was one guy who I said is my future husband when I first saw him but there was something about him I wasn't sure of. Once the speed dating had finished there was a disco and we got talking to a guy called Aaron from Te Awamutu which isn't far from me. We also got talking to a girl called Kylie who was nice.
We didn't get home until 3am! We left speed dating about 1.30 then went to mcdonalds!
I got my matches a few days later and I matched with 4 guys! They were all younger than me!! ha ha One of them Scott has been texting me and wants to take me for dinner! He's 28 so not too bad.
On Tuesday I took Hunter and Libby to a Donkey farm! We had so much fun they both got to ride a Donkey and loved it. There was a donkey who was bigger than Hope! Apparently its the biggest donkey in New Zealand possibly the world! That evening we all went out to dinner as a family which was really nice it finished of a great day perfectly!
Last week Hunter went to stay with his Cousin for a few days so it was just me and Libby it was so quiet without him! I was happy to have him back! Libby had to go to the emergency doctors last week as she came out in a rash all over her body. She had to go back to the doctors about 3 times. It turned out to be a viral infection. Luckily the rash didn't bother her so she wasn't scratching at all.
This weekend is equidays which I'm really looking forward to! I'm going to watch the show jumping tonight with Tessa and Bridget who's horse I ride then I'm volunteering all day tomorrow and Sunday day! I'll be so tired by the end of the weekend!
Oh I forgot something super exciting!! I'm going to Thailand!!!! Me and Beth booked Thai Intro for 14th Feb!!! We are now just trying to sort out our flights. Beth is going to come with me to China too. Not sure I have actually mentioned this but I wanted to do Thailand and China on my way home and Beth wants to do Thailand too but now she is going to come to China! I think we are going to have a month in Thailand and a week in China. The main thing I want to see there is the great wall! Its so exciting I never thought I'd make it to Thailand but so glad I am. I'm using the money I got from my Nan and think she will be really pleased that I am using it for travelling!
