Stayed in Ubud for 4 days , reminded me a little of Shangri-La in china, there was some sort of smell from an incense that made it feel that way.
Spent one day during a tour to a mountain, but didn't climb it just saw it from a far, also went to the largest Hindu temple, however the tour was very poor so didn't really enjoy it.
Spent the next few days with Else from Norway who I met back in Krabi Thailand, so we explored by foot the rice terraces, we stayed in a really nice homestay for 100,000 (£7) for the two of us included breakfast, which was great and a great family. The room felt like a hotel room.
Was nice to spend time in Ubud but again was quite touristy, nice restaurants and it is famous for art so many art galleries and shops all over the town.
Also its where I had the best Beef satay for 25000 less than £2.
