Isla de la Plata, aka "poor mans Galapagos" with English speaking guide....lol
So we were ready 10 minutes early and he picked us up more than 10 minutes late and we were rushed by a Tuk-Tuk to catch up with the group......not off to a great start! I gave the guy the other 35 bucks and asked him again if we had a English-speaking guide, he said "oh yeah, oh yeah" and then he took off with my cash without giving me any receipt......
But before you knew it we were on the boat with the Spanish-speaking guide..... Lol
So we had to call in emergency guide "Jordo the know-it-all"!!! Haha. As mom will tell you he is a fountain of amazing and useful information, including the 10 fun facts of the day.......
When we arrived to the island the first part of the trail was quite intense in the heat up stairs 100m with no wind but mom the trooper made it!!!
It was an interesting tour (because of the great entertaining guide) and island was beautiful and after seeing nothing but birds for two hours we got to see some giant sea turtles as we were leaving the island to go snorkelling! The guy on the boat said don't get too close to the rocks so of course I cut my foot I'm one of the rocks.... Haha
Back on mainland I went for another sunset swim. Great day
