The morning greeting from John in response to my excited "we're going to Lindon today ", was, " it's Wednesday yes it must be London today ". John and Heather have been your guides extraordinaire booking and shouting me do many treats. Feel loved and blessed. It was an awesome day planned with the precision of an army strategic war game . We were at Luton train station by 1030. Thankfully my bank card finally worked in the ATM so I has money for the day. Then we arrived at brackfriars station where my first view if the Thames from the South bank was riveting. We spent most of the day there along with the population of Auckland.(there must have been 2 million people on the south bank yesterday. I was fascinated with the cultural diversity . While waiting in line for the London eye I saw an orthodox Jewish family in line next to a Moslem Arab family and they got in the same pod. I smiled at the irony. We visited the Globe theatre and learned all things about Shakespeare then were overwhelmed by the views of London from the eye then blown away by the Piccaso Dali and Matisse Art works in the Tate modern gallery . The highlight though was dinner at Convent garden followed by the show War Horse. This theatre phenomenon has to be seen to be believed . I cried at the end. Loving my trip. I feel like a new chapter has well and truly begun. Hope to add done photos later today. Off now to track down some ancestors in Lincolnshire.
