DAY 1:
I went to Venice with my brother and my mother. We walked around Venice taking in all the sun and the lovely landscape of Venice. We visited places like the Leonardo De Vinci exhibition where I stood in front of a replica wing and pretended I was Khaleesi from Game Of Thrones. We also visited St.Mark's square where restaurants would hire musicians to serenade you as you ate. Within St.Mark's there were many market stalls which sold cooling drinks, fruit and even weapons (obviously not proper ones.) Other than this we also visited A cathedral near by where we went allowed to take any photos to show respect. We may have not been able to take any photos but the wait outside was worth it as when inside your surroundings brought history to life. As the entry was free if you wanted to see the treasury, climb to the top and see more you had to pay. We paid to see the treasury which costed us around 4 euros each to see. We were not dissappointed, I saw gifts countrys had given to them, such as wine glasses and even a detailed septor, I'm pretty sure some of the stuff in there was made of gold. Other than this I also saw body parts stored in jars such as hands which I wanted to touch. After this we walked out side and as it was darker inside the sun blinded me. Getting over this we then ate at a small pizza place which sold nutella filled dumpling like things. Here I tried Ice Tea for the first time and I loved it. With this we all got a plate full of chicken and a salad to go with it. After our delicious dinner we took our coach back to our hotel. Luckely for us Holiday Inn provided us with a couch ride to and from Venice for only 10 euros each, meaning we could just enjoy the ride back not having to worry about if it was our stop or not.
