Hello there, thanks for all your comments and messages. This really is a great way to stay in touch. I did my first day of self practice yesterday and again today, it went really well. More
relaxed than led class and less tiring as I go with my own flow. I got three adjustments. I have been working on a posture (utthita hasta padangusthasana) for months at home and with the help of
teachers. In this posture you are stood on one leg and raise the right leg holding the big toe. I can do that now but I now need to raise my leg higher and bend towards my leg.
ThenSharath helped me to bind on the twist where he stopped me on Monday and I managed to hold it by myself so he told me to carry on I was made up! I never imagined in a million years I would get
passed that posture in my first week. So I did a few more posture until I got to Supta Kurmasana, sleeping tortoise. Well this one is kinda hard to expalain so if you want to know follow link
http://ashtangayoga.info/asana-vinyasa/primary-series/21b-Supta-Kurmasana.html I can't link my hands
together yet but with Sharath's help I did but I couldn't hold it by myself so I had to stop there. Not really bothered by this I think it will come quickly. Today no-one helped me with this but I
stayed in a bit longer and felt I went deeper. Today it was very hot in the shala as I had to wait a while for a place, but I like the heat. Adhustments made have been sensitive and have not hurt me,
which is obviously a good thing!
Life outside yoga is also good bginning to feel more settled and meeting more and more people. Gail (a friend of mine) does not think she will be coming here anymore which is a shame so I'm on the
look out for a room mate.
