We had an agonisingly early start again at 5.30am for the 'Jungle Flight'. Ratree made us pork rice soup for breakfast, it was so tasty. One of the best rice soup we have had.
The Jungle Flight minibus picked us up at 7am, the journey took approximately one hour going along steep, windy, narrow roads. Upon arrival we were fitted for our safety gear. We then walked to our first of 34 platforms to begin zipwiring through the rainforest. This was a fun and exhilarating experience! It was one of the highlights of our trip! The package included a mixture of short, long, low and high zipwiring. The longest being 300m and the highest being 50m. We also did a number of abseiling descents with the highest drop of 40m. We were in a group of six, two Taiwanese guys and two Chinese girls. The day was so hot and humid, it reached 38 degrees centigrade. To get to some of the platforms we had to walk over wobbly suspension bridges which we all had fun bouncing and jumping around on. Half way through the zipwiring, we walked up steep wooden steps to get to the next zipwiring zone. Helen got bitten by mosquitos whilst zipwiring and her foot was swollen from it but did not let it bother her and carried on zipwiring.
When we had finished the Jungle Flight, we all got a free T Shirt from the reception as part of the package that we paid for. We then got the minibus back to our guesthouse, when we got back we were so tired that we napped for a bit.
For dinner, we were recommended by Ratree to go to 'Ratana's Kitchen' restaurant. Jay had pork and ginger curry and Helen had fried fish with coconut sauce which was like a Thai red curry. This was one of the best meals we have had on our trip!
After dinner we went to the Sunday Night Market on 'Ratchadamnoen Road'. This Market was beyond massive and very busy. It was the length of the entire road, it took us a good couple of hours to cover this distance whilst shopping. Helen bought quite a bit of local jewellery. Jay spotted something interesting which turned out to be a small stall selling fruit wine from a local university project. We tasted some free samples and decided to get a glass of the lychee dry white wine, this was tasty. Whilst drinking we met a guy called Bill from Gateshead who is teaching English in Central Thailand. He accidentally spilt wine down Jay's leg as he got excited whilst talking about Angkor Wat.
