Khiva to Bukharra
Longish ride 360 miles in 40 ish temperatures through the Karicom desert again. Road surface a bit off in places but not much of a problem overall a fast ride. We had an Interesting bridge crossing involving a steep, more than 45 degree, sand covered ramp onto a loosely connected set of pontoons. Just to add a bit of spice the edges of the pontoons didn't fit and had rubbed together to form sharp serrated edges of steel, given the pontoons were all different heights and separated by 6 inch wide gaps it got quite entertaining. After the banana bridge though they do seem a bit tame.Met a guy "Miguel" from Madridriding a 1200 who'd come from Spain via the Ukraine said the food and the police were equally bad - course like all solo riders he was completely bonkers.
Hotel Zagoran good spot large rooms parked the bikes in the foyer good fun getting thru the door up an old plank.. A few of the boys got themselves lost trying to find a second bridge over the main river they arrived hot and grumpy. Sheffield Lee expressed his opinion the most forcefully with "Wot the f*** was that"
