Laos Time
The laid back pace of Laos agrees with me, now that I've finished the 6th week of my trip. It took me a while to slow down. My timing couldn't have been better. Just hanging out for a couple days here. We've formed a small group of solo travelers and realized last night that we've got all the continents represented adequately (with the exception of Antarctica--no eskimos so far).
Internet has been spuratic at best. By that, I mean my own intentions to spend these beautiful afternoons at a computer. While there are many computers around, I've found it more inspiring to write in my journal while sitting at the waterfalls or on top of a hill at a temple. You know, pen and paper, the old fashioned way.
So please excuse the brief update today. Witty stories will have to be added later. You can look forward to hearing about the amazing textiles, kayaking, waterfall photo session, LaosBeaver.com, an original Thai love song of heartache with video shoot, all night bowling and more. We've found many ways to pass the time here in Loas.
I leave for Ko Tao tomorrow. As I have many miles to put under this butt to get there, it will take a couple days. So I expect to have plenty of postcards caught up next week.
Check in again soon,
dj
