Nice and relaxing day today. Once we finally woke up we headed down to the restaurant to get our "included breakfast" a bombardment of weird looking food for breakfast, and after sifting thru rotten chinese eggs, and stuff we had no idea what it was, we managed to put together some form of suitable food.
We then headed to the chinese markets. David was happy to learn that at 10am in the morning there would only be some markets open... and that the best time to go would be at night time. I have to agree it was nice going without the hussle and bussle. I got a bit obsessive, as i decided i wanted to buy a "red" small size wallet, and a mid sized travel handbag.... that turned out to be a bit of a challenge but with success by midday we headed back to the hotel, stopped for a drink (or two) then crashed by the pool for a couple of hours. the markets seemed to be a bit dearer than all the other markets that i have visited, for example one guy wanted 190 RMT for a small handbag,,,, which is about $75 - $80 .... which i wouldnt have paid in NZ .
For dinner we decided to venture further, and were shocked to find the Golden Mile - a street fully lined with restaurants, was literally only 200m from our hotel, so we had heaps of selection. Great dinner,,,, did a quick dash into "TOP SHOP" some interesting stuff, was surprised to see how cheap things were.. i always thought it would be an expensive shop. ,now just re packing our bags ready for our long haul tommorrow. Worked out it will be around 24 hours from hotel to hotel. What fun!!!!! NOT
