Two days commuting from glasgow to edinburgh. Loads of people there to watch the festival shows as well as the street performers. Great atmosphere and loads to see. Saw a few shows including a medium who was very accurate on audience member secrets (i suspect micro ear piece or sign language from assistant from up the back - he was very funny, a comedy improv group (quite funny) and rhys darby (extremely funny.
Met a lovely couple, shona and martin and their good friend michelle, who i met on the plane and is a good friend of a mate from work. A very nice way to start the trip. Martin is actually in training to make team gb's shooting team in the next olympics. Good luck martin.
Also managed two castle tours plus a walk up arthurs seat which has great views esp of the city. Disappointingly for my photo series on interesting park benches of the world there is no seat at the top of the hill. Rather the entire hill is the seat for a mythical 5 km high giant. Nice story but doesnt really help with the photo series. Met first australian (sarah from perth) while out walking.

Michelle Too funny, I forgot all about Martin's team GB olympic dream. It will definately be fueled by Tim Tams if it happens:) not sure if that is the mark of a highly tuned athlete or not. Nice updates Chris...although am confused about the park bench photo series....Equally confused by the math quizz required on this blog.
Peter and Allison CJ told u Michelle is good value. BTW i kicked your ass at golf. When ar you back??
chris the traveller Michelle - i am looking forward to folowing martins progress through the selection process for 2016. wish him all the best for me. re the park bench series that is one of my pet projects. i have several impressive new additions from this part of the world once i can find somewhere to load them from my camera. the quiz is to remind people of my career choice. actually i didnt realise it was there until someone else blew up about it. did you get the answer right first time?
