Chris' travels
An uneventful 7 hr ferry ride from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland. Water was flat as a tack. Hopefully the return trip in a few weeks has a bit more swell/waves.
Not too much to see here in town. Is basically the ferry port to the western side of the Island. Did a drive along the coast heading east first - was very windy so not many photos taken even at the famous lighthouse.
Also went north for a little bit. My small (compact car) was really struggling in the winf even through the famous 'Wreckhouse' area where apparently there is a history of trains and semi trailers being knocked over in the winds which can hit 150+km per hour.
A very impressive mountain range just north of town.
