A total of 33 Riders are taking part in a 280mile / 450km bike ride through Cambodia. They were each responsible for raising $5000USD which is going directly to the Sunrise Villages. These villages provide much needed care for the Cambodian children who are cared for by one of the three Sunrise Children Villages in Cambodia. They have come to these Villages in a myriad of ways; Parents or other family members have been killed or maimed by land-mines , died of hunger, or disease, or they just cannot care for another child.

When these children are rendered homeless, the other Villages sometimes make every effort to care for them, but more often than not, they are just left on the side of the road or taken into homes and used as slave-labor in return for food and a place to sleep until their plight is brought to the attention of Sunrise.

Every mile the riders will be doing is helping these children directly!

Itinerary:

Day 1 - Thu. June 26 > Depart Thursday evening (depending on flights)

Day 2 - Fri. June 27 > Siem Reap (Spend day at Sunrise Orphanage)

Day 3 - Sat. June 28 > Cycle around temples of Angkor (35 km)

Day 4 - Sun. June 29 > Cycle to Beng Melea - Kampong Thom (75km)

Day 5 - Mon. June 30 > Cycle Kampong Thom to Kampong Cham (80km)

Day 6 - Tue. July 1 > Cycle to outskirts of Phnom Penh (65km)

Day 7 - Wed. July 2 > Rest day in Phnom Penh (Visit Orphanage)

Day 8 - Thu. July 3 > Cycle to Kampot (85km)

Day 9 - Fri. July 4 > Cycle to Sihanoukville (104km)

Day 10 - Sat. July 5 > Transfer back to Phnom Penh, evening flight

July 6 - Arrive home Sunday (depending on flights
