Wow, great to hear about the trek and Laos. Sounds so so adventurish. I did not get an email that you had updated the message you had to have a sleep for. So I thought you had not finished it. Have filed my last assignment for my qualification. I was on a high for a few hours and still feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my life. Still have to complete practicumhours and be evaluated competent, but no bloody assignmetns!! Love you. Hi to Sarah and Sylvia. MUM

Hey you! Sounds like things are going really well. I've heard Laos is incredible. You'd better be writing down your impressions somewhere - how else are you going to beat me to being a world famous author?
Also, Lias is developing empathy - I said 'ow' the other day and he very seriously said "mama needs a cuddle" and came and gave me one. I couldn't explain that I was crying because I was happy, he just looked confused and wandered off! Then yesterday Ada was crying and he gave her a hug and said "Ada feel better now?"
Take care and enjoy yourself x

Oh yes, that last message was a tease. Looking forward to hearing more!

Hi Charlotte,
i am not sure if Sarah's phone will work in Laos until Vodafone finish setting up credit facilities for me - apparently some of the countries you will be travelling in can't use the roaming we set up - but they didn't know that in the Lambton Quay shop. Can you let Sarah know please. Also, perhaps she can send me an email.
Hope you are all having fun.
Love Beth

Happy birthday Sylvia. Lias and Ceri are here and we just had fish'n'chips and strawberrys for dinner. And then we had gingerbread babies - cute and yummy. Glad the overnight went well. And Charlotte, ou sound like your are managing the boss lady real good. Me, Ceri, Lias and Honk say hello!

Missing you already. No doubt getting up at 3.30am to take you to the airport will go some way toward resolving my grief. Charlotte, it is now your turn to replace me. You must become the flirt and convince people to do your bidding - any strategy will do. Size up your victims to see whether they will best respond to a firm hand or to a maiden in distress. You will find that looking modest and presentable helps - so put your make-up on!!
